Mobile Phones I Have Used Over The Years

My first Cellphone

My first Cellphone

This is not a regular article. It just occurred to me to write something about my mobile phone usage. Perhaps to show how I have wasted money over the years. Also to show that I have had experience with so many cellphones be they smartphones or feature phones.

Since the inception of GSM technology and the incursion of Cellphones into our country Nigeria, I have used so many mobiles and have lost count of how many. However, if I must say, and being modest at that, I will say I have used nothing less than well over 60 cellphones since I picked up my first one in July 2001.

I took the liberty of doing a little research a while back when I was less busy. Going over the net searching for phones I have used and their pictures. This write up presents the phones in gallery view. Interesting and entertaining. Also, maybe possibly showing how much of a mobile phone freak I am and how I have wasted my hard earned money.

So, there you have them. The Samsung phones I’ve used are not mentioned here (and there are many of them I must say). The list is far from complete. I just remember that the Tecno T3, (a phone I reviewed sometime back), my iPhone 4, and my iPad 2 (if iPad can be regarded as a mobile) are not on the list. Many phones I cannot remember now are also not in the picture gallery.

Currently, I use a Tecno Q1 android smartphone as my primary phone and a Galaxy Note 1. The iPad 2 also, but for browsing and multimedia as well as for writing articles for my websites.

How about you?

How many mobile phones have you used?

What is your experience like?

Do you consider  the money spent on phones a waste?

Personally, I’ve been used over 25 mobiles since 2007. I don’t take it as a waste of money. Instead, its an opportunity to learn. Funny enough, I just started compiling a list of mobiles I’ve used. Nice article sire!

    that’s quite impressive.

definitely, I could not have used more.than.10’mobile phones, although I must have bought about double that. my wife’s phones and gifts to others, inclusive.

unless one.has the habit of selling (for a good price) to purchase new devices, a Fair amount of resources must have gone into this long list of acquisitions

making /spending money is all about being happy.

If gadetocracy makes one happy, and one can afford it, by all means, indulge!

Nice article, It would be nice if other people had similar articles. Proudly many of the above mobiles were handed down to me and my other siblings, growing up there was always an extra phone lying around at home. My very first phone bought with my own money was a blackberry Tour, a few others have passed through these hands but not remotely close to what we have above.

Wao! I have always aske if you studied medicine or cell technology. But over 60 cell phones is a lot. I have actually used 3 sony Ericsson cell phones, 2 blackberries n currently use an nokia E7 n Infinix Bolt Andriod. 7 cell phone since 2005. I still have both BBs in good working conditions.
I think am able to hang on because I buy what I want in the phone that has it and not the phone because they all seem to outsmart the past generation.
But it is not a waste of money because that’s what we work hard for.
