They promised us and failed. The Microsoft Team in Nigeria has announced a new date for the official launching of their Windows 8 Operating System in Nigeria. The new date shall now be 6th November 2012. This announcement came after we had initially been promised the 30th October date. No official reason was given for the shift in date. A subtle apology was however given.
In a previous post on this site concerning this launch, we said:
Precisely on 30th October 2012, Microsoft will officially announce the availability of the Operating System in Nigeria. The event is taking place at Microsoft Office in Mulliner Towers, situated at Alfred Rewane Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. We shall keep you updated as events unfold.
Unfortunately, due to a commitment at base, we could not travel to lagos for the blotched launch. This however now proves to be a blessing in disguise. We could have been there and would have been disappointed. Lets all hope the new date will be kept. We can’t wait to see this new OS launched in our commercial capital.
The venue of the launch remain the same as mentioned and am sure we will be in for a real treat.
