PhotoMath from Window’s Phone

Its smoking hot, its brand new and its revolutional. Its every maths pupil’s delight, its what every lazy maths student has been looking forward to since parents started dragging kids to school.

*Drum roll*

*Ta Da*

Its the all new PhotoMath released for windows Phone, yep just Windows Phone for now. So you app hungry Android users need to take a chill pill on this one.

So whats the PhotoMath app? I know most of my app freaks out their must have heard about it, but for those who haven’t, the PhotoMath app is an app that helps you generate a solution simply by pointing and focusing your Windows Phone camera on the printed picture of the maths problem of interest, you also have the option to get the step by step path to the solution. Wow! If you ask me i think with this innovation smart phones just got smarter.

What’s even better is that this app is free to download with a memory friendly app size of 7mb for now. All you need is a Windows Phone running Windows Phone 8 or 8.1, your phone must have a functioning camera, web browser component and must be data enabled.

One expected down side however is that some solutions might not be 100% accurate for certain mathematical expressions and having a “not supported” response may pop up every now and then. What we can be hopefull for is that future updates will address these issues and this might just open the door for more competitive apps from developers especially on the android platform.
